International Patchwork Festival | Hotel Calipolis Sitges

International Festival of Patchwork

Discover the art of patchwork in the heart of Sitges! Did you know that the most important patchwork fair in Spain takes place in the Garraf region? Since 2005, Sitges has been home to the International Patchwork Festival, the only specialized fair in the entire country. For those who are not yet familiar, patchwork is a sewing method that involves joining pieces of fabric to create a new garment with creative design.

The International Patchwork Festival Sitges 2024 will take place from March 14 to 17 on the picturesque Paseo de la Ribera. Organized by the Spanish Patchwork Association (AEP), it is an event open to the general public and free of charge, where textile sector exhibitors showcase the latest developments in the world of patchwork. The spaces will be distributed in tents, with a total area of 2,000 m2. In its early editions, all activities were concentrated in a single building. However, for some years now, this event has enjoyed great popularity, and today the Sitges City Council grants the AEP all the available spaces it owns. Thus, the festival's exhibitions are located in emblematic buildings in the city, such as the neoclassical Miramar building, located in the historic center. The Calipolis Hotel also hosts different exhibitors in its rooms, making it a highly visited place by attendees.

The trade fair features over a hundred exhibitors from national and international scope, as well as monographic patchwork courses and a large space for creative workshops, including children's workshops. In addition, there is an exhibition-contest for AEP members, who have the chance to win fantastic prizes. The festival also brings together all the companies in the sector, whether wholesalers, importers, or distributors of products related to patchwork and textile art. In this way, the Sitges International Patchwork Festival has become one of the benchmark events in the textile art sector and can boast of a large influx of visitors each year. Each edition offers a program full of activities that will delight patchwork enthusiasts. During these four days, Sitges welcomes thousands of people to enjoy the scheduled activities. We invite you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of patchwork in Sitges!
